Fog Lights

Need a How-To instruction tutorial but can't find one. Maybe someone can help you out. This is where you can ask for a how-to.

Fog Lights

Postby christianelbori on Tue Mar 02, 2010 11:03 am

Hey guys, just hav a question, how do you open the fog lights? I painted them yellow and one of them is brighter than the other one. I changed both bulbs to see if it was the bulbs but no, same problem. If anyoe here knows the proper way to open them without breaking them, please let me know. It might be that the chrome housing of one of them might be dirty as that's what it looks like the problem is. Thanks

Wow, umm, I never even thought of opening them. I would say just get a used one from the wreckers or buy a new set. I don't know it they can be opened up easily or not.

Yea I may have to do that. The thing is that I painted them yellow and the color itself looks perfect but for some reason, the passenger side's housing is losing the chroming so it is not as bright as the driver's side. Was thinking on painting it with come chrome paint but I might as well buy a new set like you said. Thanks

Just so you know for the future, the "chrome" colour spray paint doesn't turn out looking like chrome really. It ends up looking more like just plain satin silver than chrome. It looks nothing like the caps on the cans.

no problem. It's really misleading. Most colours look just like the cap indicates, but with the chrome, I don't know what happened. Someone was smoking something pretty strong when they decided that the paint looks like chrome, lol.
